If the best the premier can come up with is a few more StrongStart programs to solve the crisis in early care and learning in B.C., we are all in big, big trouble.

Knowing that StrongStarts are part-time, part-day programs where parents have to stay in the program, how on earth does that help the thousands and thousands of families desperate for childcare so that they can go to work.

Just ask the parents at Champlain Heights daycare that closed in September or Charleson Park daycare that closed last week -- it's a crisis for working parents and the rates of children not ready for kindergarten at age five is just a symptom.

StrongStarts indeed. If that's all he has in his back pocket, we better start looking for a new plan for kids in B.C.
