  School District 72 will require 11 new 'modular classrooms' - at a cost of about $340,000 each - to accommodate the move to all-day kindergarten classes in September, 2011. "The Education Ministry has determined that we will be short 11 classrooms," said Lyle Boyce, Secretary-Treasurer of School District 72. Many B.C. school districts are moving to all-day kindergarten in September, 2010 but SD72 trustees voted in January to defer the change until September, 2011. At Tuesday night's school board meeting, trustees approved a capital project bylaw to spend $163,790 for site planning for the 11 new modular classrooms. The ministry is to provide the funding.
