The province's decision to cut 6 thousand dollars worth of funding from Salmo's Community Services Society, flies in the face of early education promises according to the MLA for Nelson-Creston.
Michelle Mungall says a reduction in the Society's gaming grant will likely mean a daycare program will need to be cut.
Mungall adds when she questioned Social Development Minister Rich Coleman in the legislature he had no explanation. She notes Salmo is just one of several communities facing these problems, but she plans to continue pressing for answers.
