The Westview Child Care Centre in Prince Rupert might have to close down if they can't afford their rent which is already the case. The centre which was established in 2001, was paying 500 dollars a month in rent since 2001 because the organization invested 100 thousand dollars in renovations for the child care space. But after their rental agreement expired last month, they're being asked to pay 1500 dollars a month to the owners of the same building.

Westview Child Care Centre Society President Joanna Larson says if the society can't come up with an affordable solution or a new location, the entire centre may have to close down since it would be too expensive to operate.

…Currently 75 children are registered at the child care centre that employs six full-time staff.
