Poor children show government priorities

It should come as no surprise that B.C. has the dubious distinction of being the child poverty leader in the country. After all, children do not vote and are not able to contribute to the Liberals.

All it takes is to take a look at this government's spending priorities to understand why children, the poor, the elderly, health, education and the arts are taking the big beating in government cuts.

The spin doctors predictably cite the huge financial dollars being allocated to these segments, knowing full well that the average citizen cannot wrap his or her mind around what these figures actually mean.

All it takes are the real stories of the people who are being affected by the Liberal focus on the rich and privileged to understand the widening gap between these two polar opposites.

Those are certainly never going to understand nor care about the struggles of our less fortunate citizens.
