NDP leader Carole James says refusing to raise the minimum wage is what she calls "the most offensive thing" the Liberal government has done.
James was speaking at the 53rd convention of the BC Federation of Labour.
She says the Liberals pay BC Rail executives 1.2 million dollars to manage 40 kilometres of track...track which has no trains....and yet over the last 8 years have refused to raise the minimum wage.
She says BC's lowest paid workers will continue to slip further below the poverty line….
