The South Burnaby Neighbourhood House and a group of parents are holding a bottle drive to raise money for a permanent child-care centre. Gilpin Neighbourhood Care is a new child-care site already full with 20 kids enrolled and set to open in September.

The centre will be temporarily run out of Gilpin Elementary, while the parents' fundraising committee raises enough money to set up a permanent location on the school grounds - likely in portables.
