Child care and tax relief will lead to more Canadian babies

In response to … concern about the low birth rate: we can increase it but all Canadians will have to pitch in.

Firstly, let's fix our immigration laws so people can make a better life for themselves in our country. If two-thirds of the world live in such dire poverty, it makes sense to offer them a better life here.

Secondly, we need much more help from our governments on all levels. Our current prime minister takes away a monthly tax credit on a child's sixth birthday. It still takes a lot of money to raise children -- how about a universal child-care program for all families? That only seems to get mentioned at election time…
