In-line Skater Coming Through the Kootenays

A child care worker from Vancouver, is in-line skating around the province to draw attention to childcare issue. Bret Hernado says that he he doesn't understand why child care has never been given enough attention and importance. The BC trip is trial run for his cross-Canada in-line skate planned for next year. Hernando says that this year, his goal is to raise awareness of the many issues surrounding British Columbians in obtaining good quality childcare in Canada.

Hernado started is province wide campaign April 21 and plans on arriving at the Parliament Buildings in Victoria before the new school year in September.

Hernado is expected to be skating through the Kootenays May 21-26
