VICTORIA- Gordon Campbell is hitting B.C. families with yet more costs increases as ferry fares and hydro rates go up again today.

"Ever since taking office Campbell has piled extra costs on B.C. families, and he continues to do so even as British Columbians are coping with the economic downturn," said New Democrat finance critic Bruce Ralston.

…."Since Campbell came to office, British Columbians have faced massive increases for medical premiums, pharmacare tuition fees, long term care for seniors, child care, ICBC, and transit fares," said Ralston.

"The worst part is that while average British Columbians are stuck with higher bills, Campbell gave himself and his top executives massive pay increases," said Ralston. "He gave himself a 54 per cent pay raise, but all that most British Columbians are getting is higher bills. Under Gordon Campbell everything has gone up except the minimum wage."
