Trustees not thinking about the children

Editor: Does anyone care about the children?….
The trustees forced the Aldergrove community into making Betty Gilbert a middle school, so then the children of Aldergrove suffered through their daycare closing, moving it to a new school for 2008-2009. Now the trustees want to stop the middle school.
Do trustees care that little? We are talking about boys and girls as young as five years old having their whole world turned upside down with moving daycares and/or moving schools already, to accommodate the middle school.
We are not talking about a few children - we are talking about hundreds.
When I was explaining to my six-year-old daughter that she would be moving daycares and to Parkside School in September, 2008 because the Betty Gilbert daycare had to close, she asked me "Why are you (the trustees) doing this to her?"
"Do they not care that I am sad" she said through her tears….
I ask trustees - think about what are you doing to these little boys and girls.
