Aside from the district not having enough Kindergarten teachers, there's also the challenge of space.
There are 52 before- and after-school daycare programs run out of unused classrooms in Richmond schools, and all-day kindergarten programs could require those classes to be reclaimed.
Incumbent trustee Grace Tsang said the advent of all-day kindergarten could prove to be a headache for parents if it results in daycare programs being shut down….
