James fires at Campbell before applauding delegates

VICTORIA - Opposition leader Carole James took aim at one target above all in her annual address to the Union of B.C. Municipalities Thursday.

Still, it sounded as if she was preparing to throw at least a few dollars in specified directions.

She promised to fix health care, end homelessness, fund affordable transit, establish affordable, accessible child care and create a permanent fund to support rural development and infrastructure.

But when reporters sought details, her answer was variations on "wait for our election platform, which will be fully costed when it is released next year."…
