The B.C. Ministry of Education's proposal for all-day kindergarten for three- to five-year-olds is a positive sign for parents -- contrary to the negative review given in your editorial.
A publicly funded, integrated system of early learning child-care services is what working parents want and need.
And these services should be provided using existing space in the public school system and teams of early childhood educators, certified teachers and education assistants.
