If you're an administrator in health care your income has skyrocketed, but if you're a cook or a child care worker you've lost financial ground.
Census figures released on Thursday showed a number of careers in the Fraser Valley that are rising and falling in median income (from 2001-2005):…
- Labourers in manufacturing and processing decreased earnings by 7 per cent to $32,048.
- Professions in the health care field, however, saw their median income rise by 31 per cent to $89,134.
- Nurses earned 10 per cent more at $64,276, but child care and support services lost ground by 11 per cent to $25,051….
- Sales and services occupations, meanwhile increased their income by 10 per cent to $28,084….
