A mixed-use development at Simon Fraser University is on hold due to cash concerns…

A report from SFU Childcare Society says under-three child care has become scarce in Burnaby.

Released last year, the report shows SFU provides roughly a quarter - about 72 spots - of the under-three child care available in the city. Of its 630-person wait-list, almost half are applying for under-three child care.

Last year, a 13-week strike by child-care workers at the university left 270 families without child care.
