SKEENA-BULKLEY Valley NDP MP Nathan Cullen says the federal budget announced last week brings little to the people in his constituency.
"In general, (the budget) is not a help for the Northwest," Cullen said …."The cost of living goes up and the quality of life goes down."
Cullen says the budget will lead to longer wait periods in hospitals, Canadians paying more for health care and prescription drugs and has no plan for affordable housing or child care….
"There's been so much good argument made about green changes but other nations are beating the pants out of us," added Cullen, his party's environment critic….
Cullen says for every dollar the budget allocates on program spending, it gives an equivalent $6 in corporate tax cuts….
