College of the Rockies faculty spokeswoman Velma McKay says she was not encouraged by what she saw in the budget. "We're anxiously waiting to see what the post-secondary appropriations will be."

Registered nurse Carol Patton said the three per cent increase in health spending in the budget "is not even going to come close to solving our problems."
