Coming election offers reason for some serious thought

It looks as if we must be going to have an election quite soon. …

Here are a few reasons why I can't support a vote for the Conservatives.

Then he began his attacks on women's issues. He cut the funding to the Status of Women so severely that many centres closed -- centres which helped abused women were especially hard hit. …

It's sad that he does not care for children -- $100 a month is no incentive to have another child, or even one, if you are struggling with today's costs. He cancelled the Liberals' excellent plan for child care and has cut literacy. …

So, please vote carefully. The last thing Canada needs is a Conservative majority -- or even a larger minority. We need to reclaim our world status as a peacemaking, caring world citizen.
