There has been a lot of talk about homelessness and poverty. We need to be proactive and work on strategies and solutions that will stop them from increasing.

One strategy would be to put in place affordable and accessible child care. If families had access to affordable child care, they would have more for rent and they would have the ability to look for work, knowing their children would be well looked after.

The more access children have to quality child care, the better connected they become and the less likely the need for support later.

Children need consistent care to grow and develop into competent members of society. Let us help families get that by working harder on initiatives that support child care.

Some people do not need child care directly, but if they shop at a store or get mail delivered, the people who do those jobs need child care. Our economy would shut down without it, so let's make it affordable and accessible to everyone.
