No women here? There'd be chaos

You know the saying, "Money makes the world go round"? It's complete nonsense. Women keep this world turning - no contest.
Of course, men still mostly control governments and the economies, but we females are what prevent society from total collapse. We are the glue that averts complete social pandemonium.
Largely because women get precious little thanks, and we didn't volunteer for the job in the first place, I'm fed up with holding society together. It's a big job and, quite often, it's a boring one.
Think I'm overstating my case? CBC Television has a show called The Week the Women Went in which all the mothers of a small Alberta town take off to laze around for a week. I've only seen a few minutes of the show and, so far, the signs are not encouraging for the men.
Imagine this country if all the women suddenly opted out and fled. It would look very different.
Within hours of such a female exodus, a national emergency would be declared. A three-day work week would be legislated; the economy would be in ruins.
Troops would be called out to deal with all the feral children roaming around the streets; enormous soup kitchens would be set up to feed hordes of confused, disorientated men standing on street corners scratching their heads, their mouths slightly open.
After a few weeks, there'd be no Kraft Dinner or 7-Up left in the stores; free beer would be distributed.
If the women absented themselves for an extended period, 24-hour daycare would suddenly appear at the top of the political agenda. Millions of men would descend on parliament demanding wages for housework - and no one would laugh at them.
School lunch programs would become mandatory, homework would be abolished, set bedtimes abandoned, children's parties would be cancelled, and after school activities would be outlawed. Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners would be considered time-consuming extravagances. Gardens would become overgrown; flowers wouldn't bloom…
Think I'm exaggerating? Of course I am, but not by much.
