A new $18 million residential care facility in downtown Campbell River will open its doors in March ahead of schedule and under budget, according to its executive director….
New Horizons has an on-site gift shop, hair salon, large lounge areas and a daycare centre for eight children…. There are also plans to have the children in the daycare centre get together with residents for a variety of programs, as well as plans for nursing or residential care college students to be able to gain work experience at New Horizons….
New Horizons Care Corporation was one of several companies that responded to a request for proposals (RFP) from VIHA back in January, 2006. VIHA requested that not-for-profit and other private operators on Vancouver Island submit proposals to build new residential care facilities on the Island….
