Residents explore ways of addressing housing and employee needs.
When it comes to living and working in Sicamous, there is no shortage of barriers. Thankfully, as revealed at the recently held public forum on the subjects, there are also a number of solutions available to help alleviate related issues.
Hosted by the District of Sicamous and the Employment Place, approximately 30 people representing a wide-range of professions and interests showed up for the Monday evening meeting….
Other barriers related to housing and labour identified at the meeting included a need for more daycare services and public transportation to and from Malakwa….
From the ideas generated at the meeting, Isherwood said afterwards that she and the Employment Place intend on exploring what options are available for such things as transit and daycare, noting there are government funding possibilities for each. ….
