Re: Free day care for City of Kelowna employees, firefighters and RCMP.

….To simply have Kelowna city council vote on this freebie for the above mentioned beneficiaries would be simply stupid, in my opinion.

A referendum with this on the ballot -- along with other important decisions … is the only democratic, fair manner to resolve free babysitting or daycare….

Remember, these are public servants. Those forking out the cash for these employees should have a direct vote. The opinions/votes of individual Kelowna councillors should not be allowed to determine whether my money is used to pay firefighters', RCMP and Kelowna engineers' babysitters. Let's get this one right by a public vote.
