On the flip side of affordable day care to its users, how can workers be encouraged to fill this need with the notoriously low pay rate offered: $12 per hour?

My 20-year-old daughter works at Tim Hortons for $13.50 per hour plus benefits, but her interest is in childcare, as she takes a night school course at college to learn more about it.

As a young adult starting out, how can she afford to take a job with less pay and no benefits?

Does this mean our coffee and doughnuts are more important than our kids?
