… Child-care services will resume for 270 families Monday as the Simon Fraser University Childcare Society voted in favour of a mediated settlement. The deal ends a four-week-old strike that followed rotating job action over the summer.
The new collective agreement provides pay increases and partially restored pension benefits.
"The board and management of the Childcare Society are grateful to the families who have waited patiently and invested their time and energy in developing new ideas for the future," the society's executive director Pat Frouws said in a statement. |
