Use
surplus wisely

So, Prime Minister Stephen Harper now tells us he has a $14.2-billion
surplus, and he is willing to dole out a few dollars to us poor
saps in tax cuts.
I, for one, would much rather he put some of that money back
into properly funding health care and providing the child-care
spaces he promised last time.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I prefer not to be bribed because
Harper thinks he might get a majority government if he dangles
a little carrot in front of us. |
