British Columbia Finance Minister Carole Taylor said Friday
the province's surpluses continue to grow, and the economy remains
relatively isolated from the economic woes of the United States.
B.C. Finance Minister Carole Taylor delivers her first quarter
financial report Friday, saying provincial surpluses continue
to grow.
Taylor has delivered a first quarter financial report, forecasting
economic growth of three per cent this year and 2.9 per cent
next year.
The budget surplus for this year has jumped to $1.6 billion,
up from $400 million.
So far, Taylor says B.C. has been able to remain isolated from
what she calls the "financial storm" in the United
States….. |
