Spend surplus on daycare

With over 70 per cent of B.C.'s mothers working and only enough daycare for 12 per cent of kids, the cost of daycare is running at over $1,000 per month.

We have a budget surplus in Victoria of $4.1 billion, and yet still the Liberals are cutting daycare funding.

What gives? Does the premier believe women belong barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen?

The taxes parents pay are part of that surplus, and should be invested into building an affordable, quality daycare system.

B.C.'s working parents should be marching in the streets to protest the government's approach to hoarding billions while cutting child-care services.
