Comparing quality childcare to a Cadillac that society can't
afford, and stating that unregulated care is "good service",
it makes me wonder if Randy Hawes would eat in a restaurant
that was not licensed.
Yes some daycare centers could be compared to a Cadillac
in terms of safety, comfort, and quality. The staff is trained
in early childhood development, it is regulated, and it is
regularly inspected. The people that work in the child-care
field are there because they genuinely want to help children
grow in the best possible way. If we are using analogies I
would like to compare childcare to our government representatives.
It doesn't matter how big they are or how much money they
get their quality of service depends on how well they know
their subjects.
