VANCOUVER/CKNW(980) - Hundreds of people crowded downtown
Vancouver streets, in a march to support the eradication of
poverty on Saturday...
Around 600 marched across the Burrard Street bridge to the
art gallery for a rally.
Liberal MP Stephen Owen came to show his support. "Canada's
got to give more, we've never made our .7 per cent of GDP
contribution, which we promised years ago, we've got to get
there as soon as possible," he says.
The event aims to mobilize public support for the eradication
of poverty.
