Residents' priorities

Dear Editor,
I have figured out the basic problem with Ucluelet today.
Our town is now more focussed on the needs of vacationers
than the needs of long-term, full-time residents.
This must change if we are to have a town we wish to live
in.
Please, town council, forget the vacationers' needs and
focus on education, medical services, emergency services,
roads, sewers, water, public access, museums, heritage, parks,
parking, policing, marina facilities, housing and child care.
Child care shortage growing: A lack of affordable child care
in Langley is causing many young families to turn to more
expensive options, such as nannies.
